A warm spring color palette is built from clearly golden colors of medium lightness, like coral, marigold, warm turquoise and camel. It suits people whose coloring is strongly warm, such as golden or copper hair, warm eyes and skin that glows in gold. Cool, icy and grayed colors tend to look flat on this season.

Every swatch shows its name and hex code. Screens vary, so these are illustrative, and fabric or makeup in daylight is the real test.

Use these palettes as a starting point, not a verdict. Lighting and your screen settings both shape what you see, and an in-person consultation with a trained artist is the best way to confirm what flatters you.

What is a Warm Spring?

Warm Spring is the most golden of the Springs. Its main quality is warmth, more than lightness or brightness. Hair is often golden blonde, strawberry, copper or warm golden brown. Eyes are often warm green, topaz, golden hazel or warm light brown, and skin tends to have a peachy or golden glow, sometimes with freckles.

Compared with a Light Spring, a Warm Spring can handle a little more depth. Compared with a Bright Spring, the colors are less electric and more sunny. The giveaway for many Warm Springs is how good they look in gold jewelry and how quickly cool silver and icy pastels make them look pale.

The warm spring color palette, color by color

The core colors carry that golden warmth from end to end. Golden Coral and Honeyed Coral are the heart of the palette, warm and lively without tipping into orange. Golden Tangerine and Honeyed Marigold bring a sunlit glow, and Golden Mustard adds a fresh yellow-green edge. Honeyed Leaf is a bright spring green, Golden Teal is a warm turquoise that many Warm Springs love, and Honeyed Azure gives you a clear, warm blue.

These shades share a yellow undertone, so they combine easily. A Golden Teal dress with Honeyed Coral accessories, or a Golden Tangerine blouse with Honeyed Azure jeans, feels bright and cheerful while staying in harmony.

Neutrals and accents for Warm Spring

Warm Spring neutrals are Cream, a golden Taupe, Camel and a warm Espresso brown. Camel is the hero here, perfect for coats, bags and boots. Espresso replaces black when you want something dark, and Cream replaces stark white.

The accents are Sunlit Coral, Golden Marigold, Sunlit Teal and Golden Red, the strongest, clearest colors in the set. A Golden Red lip or a Sunlit Teal scarf can lift a Camel and Cream outfit instantly.

Makeup ideas for a Warm Spring

Warm Springs tend to glow in peach, coral and apricot blush, warm bronzer, and lips in coral, warm red, peachy nude or golden pink. Eyeshadow in gold, copper, warm bronze, olive and soft teal can look beautiful, especially with brown liner. Very cool mauves, icy pinks and gray-toned nudes can make warm skin look dull.

When choosing foundation, many Warm Springs find golden or warm undertone shades blend best. A touch of warm bronzer through the cheekbones often looks more natural than contour with a cool, gray tone. As always, test shades on your jawline in daylight.

Hair color ideas for Warm Spring

Golden blonde, honey, copper, strawberry blonde, warm caramel and golden brown tend to suit Warm Springs. Many look great with sunny, warm highlights or a soft copper gloss. Ash blonde, blue-black and cool, icy tones can fight against warm skin and eyes.

If you want a stronger copper or red for your wedding, plan a test appointment well ahead so your colorist can adjust the tone. Our wedding beauty timeline planner keeps the date in view.

A warm spring color palette for your wedding

Warm Spring brides often look radiant in ivory, champagne or a warm cream gown. Bridesmaids in Golden Coral, Golden Teal or Honeyed Marigold make a joyful, sunlit party, and gold jewelry, peach roses, ranunculus and marigold accents tie it all together.

For bridal makeup, a warm, glowing base with peachy cheeks, bronze and gold on the eyes, and a coral or warm pink lip suits this season beautifully. Our bridal hair and makeup page shows how we tailor looks to each bride, and the bride hair and makeup package covers the whole morning.

Colors to be careful with

For a Warm Spring, the colors to be careful with are cool and gray: Muted Pearl, a cool Violet, Mulberry and a very dark Muted Garnet. Next to golden coloring, these can make skin look sallow or gray. You don’t need to avoid them completely. Wear them lower on the body, or pair them with a warm color near your face so your skin keeps its glow.

Stark black and optical white are often harsh on Warm Springs too. Espresso and Cream usually do the same job more kindly.

Warm Spring or Warm Autumn?

Both seasons are clearly warm, which makes them easy to mix up. The difference is clarity and depth. Warm Spring colors are clear and sunny, like coral and turquoise. Warm Autumn colors are richer and more muted, like rust, olive and copper. A Warm Spring usually looks fresher in clear colors, while a Warm Autumn often looks more polished in earthy ones.

Try Golden Coral and a muted rust side by side in daylight. If the coral makes you look brighter and the rust looks heavy, Warm Spring is likely. If the rust looks richer and the coral feels loud, compare the warm autumn color palette.

Building outfits with Warm Spring colors

A simple formula is a warm neutral base, one core color and a golden accessory. Camel trousers with a Golden Teal top and gold hoops, or a Cream dress with a Honeyed Coral cardigan and a Golden Red lip, both look effortless. Prints with warm, clear colors on a cream background suit Warm Springs much better than dark or busy prints.

Jewelry, metals and finishing touches

Yellow gold is usually the easiest metal for a Warm Spring, followed by brass, bronze and warm rose gold. Coral, turquoise, amber and peridot stones echo the palette nicely. For glasses, try tortoiseshell, honey or warm brown frames instead of black. Small touches like these add warmth near your face, which is exactly where this season looks its best. Even a pair of gold earrings can make a cool-toned outfit work better for you.
